Networking Groups in Vancouver you should know of
If you are an entrepreneur in Vancouver or a seasoned net-worker there are a few networking groups in Vancouver you should be aware of. Meetup.com is a great resource for finding local networking opportunities. You can find an event for any interest or career path. Here is my list of networking events you should make an effort to attend in Vancouver.
Third Tuesday is an event held on the Third Tuesday of every month at Ceilis Irish Pub in Vancouver. They host speakers that talk about a wide range of subjects, but usually Social Media related. It’s a great place to meet Vancouver Locals.
Entrepreneur Meetup hosted by Minna Van of the The Network Hub. This is a great place to network with other Entepreneur’s. They have guest speakers on a variety of events including SEO which is a topic they are hosting this week.
The Fraser Valley Social Media Group. If you live in the Fraser Valley this is the meetup to attend. They host speakers like Shane Gibson who talks about Social Media and how business can use it to grow sales revenue with it. Shane Gibson is hosting a Vancouver book launch on the 25th of November. Guerrilla Marketing which is a free event if you RSVP.
Vancouver Business Marketing Entepreneur Meetup. Run by local business leaders they host a wide range of events. Like the upcoming, Speed Networking for Business on November 18th.
There’s other events to keep an eye out for outside of meetup.com. Like The Buzz Fall Mixer. Hosted by VancityBuzz and Refine Magazine. It’s a social networker event that is great for making connections.
Marc Smith of Amuse Events hosts seminars on how to increase your online profiles. He’s hosting two tomorrow the 17th of November that still have tickets available.
Vancouver is a hub for Social Networking activities. By using resrouces like meetup.com you can keep up to date on what’s going on. Twitter is also a great source for finding out about events. They are frequently posted using the hashtag #Vancouver. Get out and network, it’s the best way to meet people.
